NW CHRISTIAN ACADEMY HEALTH PLAN

We are excited to begin school at NW Christian Academy this fall! At Life Church NW and NW Christian Academy we completely believe in the healing power of God and health for our bodies. We believe that Jesus paid the price for our healing when He gave His life for us. And we believe in the power of prayer for the sick and will be praying over our students, staff and families on a regular basis. We also believe that God wants us to be responsible in the natural to stay healthy.

Here is our plan to provide a continued safe and healthy environment for all of our students, teachers and families.

  • Student work areas will be spaced apart and will be sanitized regularly.
  • Students will go outside as much as possible, weather permitting.
  • Students and teachers will practice healthy habits and protocol with washing hands, using hand sanitizer, using         tissues, etc.
  • Facilities and high touch areas will be sanitized regularly.
  • Students will be spaced apart for lunch and other group activities.
  • Parents must be responsible to assess your child’s health each day before bringing them to school.

Any child who exhibits the following symptoms or if you answer yes to any of the questions

should stay home from school:

  • A fever of 100.4ÅãF or higher
  • A cough (not related to allergies or athsma)
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • A sore throat
  • Chills
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
  • Excessive Congestion/running nose – not related to allergies
  • Unusual fatigue
  • Does anyone in your household have any of the above symptoms?
  • Has your student had any medication to reduce a fever before coming to school?

What will the protocol be if a child exhibits the above symptoms during school?

  • Child’s temperature will be taken and parent/emergency contact will be called to come

pick up your child.

  • Child will rest in a separate area until parent or emergency contact picks them up.

We will not be requiring masks for students or teachers unless a child or teacher develops the

above symptoms while at school.

  • If your student will be staying home from school for any reason, please contact Pastor Kristin as soon as possible to let us know why.
  • As soon as your child is physically able to do school work we will make arrangements for work to be picked up, so your student can work from home. If a student or teacher at NW Christian Academy tests positive for Covid-19, we will notify the other families and all school would transition to distance learning for the required amount of time.
  • If you are unsure as to what action to take, please call Pastor Kristin. 425-876-6456. Our goal is to help everyone stay healthy and safe and to keep all of our children learning.
